I am Meaghan. 20. Hailing from the magical land of Boston.

I am a: World traveler, college student, re-enactor, history geek, Disney Whore, anglophile, and all around silly person. I also cook and sing. Often at the same time!

I have an unhealthy obsession with many things. This is, amongst various other topics, a Tom Hiddleston/Benedict Cumberbatch Appreciation Blog. Oh and baby sloths. I love baby sloths.

I AM A CAFFEINE ADDICT.

shuffle synopsis challenge | Jude Law, Colin Morgan, Keira Knightley, Michael Fassbender | (requested by bradleymorgans)
song | Heartlines by FLORENCE + THE MACHINE
LONDON, 1950. It’s been five years since World War Two has ended. Thomas (Law) is a brilliant journalist for the Picture Post who acted as an informer for Mass-Observation during the war. Rose (Knightley) is a disgraced actress, whose downfall was triggered by alcoholism and several nervous breakdowns. When the two of them meet at a party hosted by a mutual friend, Thomas is struck by the young woman’s charisma and asks her if she’d agree to let him interview her one day, informally. Though reluctant to open herself to a complete stranger, Rose finally agrees to meet him a few days after. But as they sit on Thomas’s couch, the interview turns unexpectedly into a heart to heart, when Thomas and Rose realize they both live miserable lives, wearing the burden of ghosts from their past. For years Thomas has been haunted by the guilt of having inadvertenly caused the death of his younger brother Paul (Morgan), the family’s hero, with a bright future ahead of him, and his closest friend. As for Rose, she never got over the departure of the love of her life, Lt. Enoch O’Reilly (Fassbender), who was forced to exile in Norway when rumour had it he was actually a mole, and eventually committed suicide. Day after day, step by step, Thomas and Rose try to help each other to overcome their grief and move on with their lives. But can you ever feel at peace, when, however hard you try, the shadows of your loved ones refuse to leave?
